My Boyfriend and I lived there for 1 lease term. ( 2006-2007 )
It was our first apt together adn thought at first it was great. When we did the last pre-view of the apt we noticed that some tiles were missing in the kitchen and the carpet needed to be replaced. we expressed our concerns and were told that that would be done BEFORE we moved in. Come our move-in date, they were finishing up the last of out tile and had not even stated on replacing the carpet. We were told to let the tile settle and not to put anything on the floor, ans the next day they would come back and help us move our stuff into the kitched so they could replace the carpet, well that day never came. Then when we were moving out they tried to claim that we tore up the carpet and wanted US to pay for it to be fixed!
There were other bad things to like " street fights" right outside of our apt. Managment did nothing and it took police 30 mins to get there, when my boyfriend walked out side to make sure our car was locked because previously that week it was broke into he heard one man tell another " ill Kill you".
The parking was crazy! We were lucky in an aspect that the people next to us did not have a car so they didn't mind us parking in front of there door, but on they other side they people could not even park inbetween the white lines, when we spoke to managment they told us that there was no assagined parking. well thats ok, but still park in ONE spot these people were parking in TWO spots.
Don't get me wrong there were some good things about this place as well like the fact that it was close to blanding and 17. And the people at the GATE station were always nice. Our rent really wasnt all that bad for a 3 room 2 1/2 bath town home. but when we asked about a flat do to heath problems ( my boyfriend and i were both in SERIOUSELY BAD car crash ) we could no longer walk up and down that many stairs they told us just to make the living room into a bedroom until one opend up which was in 2 weeks, we said we could wait that long but once again it never happend even when asking about it almost every other day. Then they wanted to charge us for " paperwork"
