I do like where I live but there are some big problems that make it not worth it. My biggest problem is the noise. I do not mean to stereotype people, but a lot of the colonnade residents are military, the receive a discount to live there, and for the most part, do not respect the people around them We have about 5 grown men living across from us and they will stand at their door at 2AM and scream to other people out in the parking lot. They do this almost every night. But the worst, is the upstairs people who run and stomp all day long. The office does make a call to these people but the noise never stops. The office does not really follow through with creating a quit environment for the rest of the residents. At what point is okay for a person downstairs allowed to start banging on the ceiling all night for revenge' I am almost to this point. I do understand that it is hard for the office to stop this kind of noise, especilly when the office closes right when most people are getting home from work, (How convenient)They are not in the office when this stuff takes place. I have a question...How would a Colonnaide resident handle this situation if the office does not help' We pay way to much money to have this kind of noise.

Unfortunately, many other residents share in your problem. Despite numerous phone calls and complaints, these loud and obnoxious people are allowed to continue making life here miserable. I am unsure what type of "warning" the office gives these people, but it is obviously not taken seriously, since they continue to be loud on a regular basis. And why should they stop, when they apparently get away with it? Residents are upset because for the monthly price of these apartments, we shouldn't have to put up with this. I don't know the type of people that live above you, but I wouldn't recommend banging on the ceiling. If those people are anything like the ones near me, you could be putting yourself in danger by doing that. As a last resort, you could try calling the police, but that may just cause more trouble. My best advice is to move elsewhere when your lease is up, as I (and many others) will be doing. Good luck at your next place!

yeah i tried the tapping on the ceiling option after no assistance from office. The "polite and approachable" neighbor stomped even louder and came down and banged on my door for 5 minutes...office blows it off as little kids run around!!! well little kids need to be told to stop treating a apt like a playground and realize they are bothering the people around them!!! funny thing is that this is the 3rd upstairs neighbor to live there and the only one ever to generate this much noise!!! but I am the one that will be labeled a complainer and unreasonable!! I will decline a invite to sit down with them as it is not my job to negotiate for peace and quiet that I pay good money to have!

You are so right! The office staff needs to be replaced. Zero help in that last 2 years.

I agree with you all, but apartment complexes do not want to evict tenants, that's money lost, in their eyes first. It's all about money people and unfortunatly that's what comes first.
