Myself and 2 of my friends live in a 3 bedroom here, this is our 2nd time here. We are college girls that needed something nice, close to school and work...yet reasonable...it gets so expensive an realy no place is better then here. We left for a year and a half and experienced 2 other apartment places in the ares and now returned to the colony. The Colony at Deerwod is hands down the highest quality, most beautiful, nicest staff and all-around excellent of them all. The grounds are fabulous, with carefully-trimmed hedges, nice pool and a large lake. The gym is comparatively quite nice; the maintenance is knowledgeable, ever-present and quick: when my dishwasher wasn't working right they replaced the entire machine the next day; the office staff is extremely friendly; W/D comes in unit, and a screened in porch with storage closet: it is gorgeous, large and screened-in tightly (FL does have some big bugs). I've never heard a peep from my neighbors (who are almost exclusively high-quality people...the office can't legally tell you that). A small complaint is that there is only one garbage dumpster and it's on the other side of the property from me, but that doesn't really surprise me...several other apartments are the same way. The demographic is mostly young, with lots of college students and single business folks and some retirees. I give my highest recommendation to The Colony at Deerwood for all aspects.
