When we first moved in, we had a 1 bedroom apartment and we were in the area with a bunch of people our age (20s). We played our music loud, because everybody else did, and we generally enjoyed our stay. The only thing that sucked is the 1 bedrooms do not have a washer/dryer so you have to use the laudry rooms, which usually have at least one or two machines out of order, and then you're scared somebody is going to steal your clothes. Then we had got a roomate and transferred to a 2 bed/2 bath. This 2 bed/2 bath is above a single mother who has pretty much, single-handedly ruined our stay here. She complains about EVERYTHING. We've had several letters about the music, a couple about our roomate's dog barking (which is RARELY does, she just knows he's here), loud talking, and a few weeks back, my husband had his car here (it's not driveable, but it had legal tags and stuff on it) on a thursday and by tuesday we got a letter saying we had too many cars in the parking lot (only 2 are allowed per apartment) so we had to take my husband's car to my brother's house. Now, we have new neighbors and they are taking up FOUR spaces for ONE apartment. has anybody said anything' no, because the lady downstairs told my husband to his face that she's trying to get us out of her.
I went to the manager about this and she ANYTHING but helpful. I couldn't believe how she was treating the situation because we have so many "7 day notice to cure" letters. Aren't they trying to keep tenants' I requested to move to a different 2 bedroom apartment and she took my number and said she'd call me later that day or the next. That was 3 weeks ago and I have yet to hear anything...........
My husband and I just recently got married on July 3 and we decided we wanted to get our own place. My roomate is cool with moving out because he's tired of dealing with the neighbor's b.s., too. So My husband and I have recently been approved for a much nicer, much more organized and friendly apartment complex on the other side of town, closer to his job, so we're going there. Our roomate has arrangements with a friend of his. We are breaking our lease (the right way, of course) and will all be out of here by the end of August. None of us will be recommending the Commons to anybody.
