I don't know where to begin. I wish I had found this website sooner. I should have known from the first month living there that I had to get out. It started with ants streaming from the medicine cabinet in the master bathroom. It took weeks of ant bait to get rid of them all. Then the ants started streaming in from cracks in the ceiling into the kitchen. Again, weeks of ant bait to finally be rid of them. These are not your ordinary sugar ants, these were fire-looking ants that bite! I know, the top of my hand swelled when one of them got me. Then it was fruit flies in the kitchen I was battling with for weeks. Then the roaches started...we're not talking your regular roaches, but GERMAN roaches. They are one of the hardest kinds to get rid of! All because the neighbor behind me didn't practice clean habits, and they started to invade my apartment. Now I'm a very clean person, in fact my family makes fun of me for cleaning every week; I don't leave food out or dishes in the sink. Apparently the neighbors behind me were the complete opposite! So pest control came every week to treat my apartment. After a couple of months, the problem was getting worse! One of the ladies at the leasing office told me that I "wouldn't believe what we saw over there". I was so disgusted. It took 4 MONTHS to battle the problem, but it was never completely gone. Till the day I moved out I was still killing one or two on a daily basis. I kept a can of RAID and Clorox wipes on the kitchen counter all the time. No one understands the hell I went thru with that - I didn't stay in the kitchen for more than 5 minutes. I stopped cooking because the smell of food or even a crumb would have them runnng out from all directions - the floor, the cabinets, the ceiling, behind the stove & fridge. They started to go after my cat's food in the guest bathroom behind the kitchen, and even the living room, crawling on my couches and tables to get after something. I started hanging out at my boyfriends place more and more to get away from them. No one at the leasing office cared! No apologizes, no give-you-something-for-your-trouble, no call backs...I even wrote a letter to the management company! No response!! I have been renting for 10 years and I have never had problems as I did at this place! Appliances and cabinets are old and smell. The buildings are too close to the parking lot, so if you're not a lucky one that faces the huge pond, forget it...you'll never get peace! I heard every person in the parking lot, slamming their car doors, hear they come and go, hear them talking...and I was not sitting next to the windows. I heard the people upstairs having sex on a regular basis because the walls are so thin/poor quality. The cheap rent does not make it worth living there, not with everything in the apartment run down and the ghetto slowly taking over that place. What is the point of having the gate' Other comments are true...the gate was broken down half the time, or tons of people would sneak in behind you (which I'm sure don't live there) because the gate was so crappy. Trust me, from a person who suffered living there a year, if you value your sanity, DON'T LIVE THERE! I would never wish that hell on my worst enemy!!
