It's has its good and bad qualities just like any other complex

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
PROS:
- The landscaping is kept up nicely,
- They just put in new trash compactor dumpsters so the garbage area isn't all ------ anymore,
- Parking can be tight at times but they don't seem to ever tow cars away so you can park wherever you need to (I hardly ever have trouble parking right in front of my building),
- They just changed all of the outside lighting so it's a lot brighter at night (it used to be reeeally dark at night),
- In almost 2 years I haven't noticed any crime in the complex but one time somebody broke the outgoing mailbox open and took all of the outgoing mail :(,
- There aren't tons of noisey kids (at least not in my area of the complex),
- There seems to be a mixture of young families and college students living here,
- There aren't many loud parties (which could be a pro or a con depending on what you're into),
- There are Cops who live in the complex that actually seem to care and respond relatively quickly to calls,
- The actual apartments are laid out well,
- All of the apartment entrances are on the ground level which is nice,
- The apartments seem to be built fairly well (some problems, see cons below),
- The people who work in the office are usually very nice and accomodating,
- You almost always get someone from the office on the phone right away when you call and they seem like they are very willing to help (See Cons Below),
- I live here with my wife and she and I both feel very safe here.
CONS:
- The new management takes a loooong time to return calls when you leave messages (One time they took over 48 hours to return my call)(but they usually answer so it's not a big deal),
- The office misplaces packages that come in the mail (but they haven't completely lost anything. They always find them),
- The office staff forgets to do things like write up new leases and contact you when they're ready (YOU have to remind them and keep bugging them until they do it),
- The office staff is slow to help you but, from what I hear, they're quick to penalize you,
- The walls are a bit thin but they're no worse than any other apartments I've ever lived in (you usually can't hear the neighbors),
- The parking spaces are kind of narrow,
- The toilet broke, the water supply valve under the kitchen sink for the dishwasher leaked, the water supply valve under the kitchen sink for the cold water leaked, the kitchen disposal leaked, the windows rattle when the AC comes on, The drain in the bathtub was installed crooked and can be a pain sometimes, The utility area for the washer & dryer is VERY small and cramped, The walls rattle when my downstairs neighbors close their front door,
- I wouldn't want to live in an apartment that faces away from the parking lot because you have to walk pretty far to get to your door, and if you live by the woods it would probably be pretty creepy and lonely back there at night,
- The gym here SUCKS,
- The gates are broken and have NEVER worked in almost 2 years since I moved in,
- They raised my rent for this year by 40 dollars a month (it's kind of expensive).
