by far the worst apartment I have ever lived in

Years at this apartment: 2001 - 2002
I lived here for a year and left as soon as my 12 month lease was up. I was told when I moved in that I would get new linoleum and didn't see the first of the new linoleum until several months later(in one bathroom). I had ants and spiders in my apartment all year. I can only remember one time that the apartment was treated for pest control.
One time, in May, I forgot to pay rent and was assessed a $50 late fee. I had never been late with the rent before, yet I was not only NOT allowed to waive the late fee, but I was not allowed to pay by check (even though I had never bounced a check before). Neither could I pay in cash - money order only. I even called the main office in Miami to see if I could waive the late fee, and although they were pleasant about it (unlike the Creekwood staff), they would not budge on the fee.
I also had water damage that I called SEVERAL times for them to repair and they never did. (I documented 5 times I called - those were just the times I documented.) The water damage increased every time it rained, causing a terrible mildew odor. (I finally covered it with Kilz to mask the odor and prevent more damage.) Also, the AC vents were moldy. Overall, the apartments are poorly maintained and the office staff (except for maintenance) were rude and uncooperative.
