I am a former resident and would not recommend the apartment community to anyone. When my fiance and I moved to Jacksonville, we chose Creekwood because it fit our budget and they had immediate availaility (now I see why). A few months after moving in, I noticed our carpet in the closet and the carpet leading into the bathroom was soaking wet. We lived on the first floor, so I thought this was strange. The maintenace person fixed the leaking toilet and told me to place towels on the wet spots and nothing else was done until two months prior to us leaving (then we found out the pipes in our shower/tub were busted which made the carpet wet. After our 6 month lease expired, we continued on a month to month basis (for a maximum of 3 months-Creekwood policy). I was paying the market value price, so my rent went from $575 to $635 for a 605 sq ft one bedroom apt, which was NOT worth it. The manager was not friendly or helpful at that time (the property was in the process of being taken over by new management). I wrote notification that we were vacating the apartment and I asked if we could be prorated, of course I was told no, therefore I had to pay $635 for the entire month and only stayed 10 days. After we moved, I thought my relationship with Creekwood was over, but as I discovered some four months later, they were trying to get more money out of me, apparently for late rent and damages. I DID NOT GET MY SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK nor was I notified that they were taking it (this is why I thought my business with them was complete). The manager said she added 20 days of rent for the following month b/c she never received our keys. First of all, we only had a max of 3 months to be in the apartment, I gave notice that we would be leaving 15 days prior to the end of the month, I still paid for the full months rent, and never received my security deposit, so how could they charge me anything extra' Second, when the first of the next month rolled around and no rent was paid, why was there not an eviction notice submitted' This property is all about screwing people over!!!! Oh and by the way, it's also roach infested (residence have to request for pest control, they don't come on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, like my new apartment home.

First, residents are required by thier lease agreement (which they sign prior to moving in) to give a 30 day notice even if they are on a month to month lease. The month to month rental rate is clearly stated in the lease agreement all residents sign, if a resident thiks it is unfair they should not sign the lease. So if a resident gave notice and moved out 10 days later the resident will still be held responsible for the remaining 20 days of the notice period (which is 30 days, per the lease). The reason eviction proceeding did not start the following month was becuase management knew of the residents intention to vacate so when rent was not paid the following month we walked the unit to check for occupancy. There would not have been a question if the resident had turned in keys thus turning over pocession of the apartment to management. Finally, pest control is available at Creekwood EVERY WEEK (service through Orkin). The service is only performed on the interior of the unit if the resident requests it. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Creekwood is full of creek well you know the rest. I wish I was the one moving out of my apartment because I tell you... the water flooding in my closet and half of my room, the pipe leaking twice and flooding underneath my bathroom counter, their faulty maintenence, and their "replumbing" practices are just freakin' ridiculous. When I signed my lease I was under the impression that Creekwood was an affordable place to live and that pest control would come through on a regular scheduled basis to all of the apartments. Unfortunately this is not true and you must call every single time you need pest control. A few months ago when my apartment was flooded out...they called themselves fixing the carpet and blowing it dry...only to leave my carpet jacked up for over a week! I had to end up calling the city on them to get that air blower machine and crap out of my apartment and to get my carpet fixed! THEY NEVER CLEANED MY CARPET LIKE THEY PROMISED! I also have noticed that all day EVERYDAY those darn maitenence men are just LOUD! All's I hear all day long is MEN yelling Outside of my window all around the parking lot. Does it really take all of that to have a conversation? Does it REALLY take all of that NOISE to do WORK?! I feel for the mothers of young babies who have to try to sleep through those unconventionally LOUD conversations the workers hold amongst themselves outside. I am currently looking for another apartment community and I will be glad once my apartment becomes one of the many empty apartments left over here in CREEKWOOD. Also when I move...they can take my security deposit and shove it up that stuck up managers you know what! Plus, her boyfriend flirts with anything that has a nice face and chest so watch out for him if you are a young lady. The truth is... please whatever you do... DO NOT MOVE HERE if you can help it! 610 for a 605 sq. ft. apartment is horrible and I can't wait to leave!!!! Hahaha!
