I was going to move here however once we were given our apartment and was able to check it out it was horrible. The apartment smelled terrible. I saw it before the new carpet was put in and there was standing water, mold and i mean heavy mold from floor to ceiling, you could smell it from a mile away. They attempted to tell us that it would be okay and they would have it fixed in less than a week. My father has done mold remediation before and something that bad couldn't be done in a week. Once we told them that we weren't moving in they said they would refund the deposit. They were told to not mail it that it would be picked up. YEAH RIGHT!, it was supposedly mailed to an address i dont' reside at anymore not the one i listed as my current address on my app. Then i was told they would have to wait till the check gets returned to issue another one. I tried to speak to the manager and she was just down right rude to me, claiming she had called greystar and they hadn't returned her call, YEAH RIGHT AGAIN!!!. This was 6 months ago and I still have not got my money back. These people are the rudest that i have ever had to deal with in my renting experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They take your money then try to move you in to an apartment that should be condemed. I feel sorry for the person who actually moved in there.

You forgot to mention how you illegally entered the apartment on your own because apparently people are allowed to just walk into whatever place they want whenever they want. But hey, it's nice that you're telling a BS story. Also, the person who moved into that apartment still lives there to this day with ZERO signs of mold. But hey, your dad is an "expert" in the field so he obviously knew more than we did.

i do not blame you for not taking the apartment because they are just down right terrible and the office people are rude especially the office manager she definitely has a bad attitude. but as far as getting your money back call the better buisness bureau and call greystar yourself don't just let them keep your money!
