The Deerfield apartments used to be an ok place to live before they fired all of their employees and replaced them with others who are hostile, ill informed and slow to act. Luckily I had a lot of "promises" like a ceiling fan and washer and drier in writing because the new management called me everything but a liar. If you decide to move here, make sure anything they promise to you is in writing. One week later, and I have yet to receive the items detailed in my lease. When I inquired about why they haven't acted on the items, I was told those items were a courtesy and not part of the lease and there is no urgency in getting me those items. When I first moved in I thought the apartments are ok (lots of claw marks on the cabinets that they refused to fix). They are just overpriced for the Westside of Jacksonville. There is a fitness room on site, but it's not big enough to support all the people in the complex. I ended up joining a center nearby. I would not recommend anyone moving into this complex. As a guy who can take care of himself, I still don't feel comfortable walking around the complex at night.
