Retraction- They WILL rip you off!

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2006
I moved to NC at the end of last month. Rather than send my deposit back, I was charged $120 for a "turnover" fee. It's not anywhere in the lease, but when I called to ask I was told that my apartment had to be cleaned. I didn't even say which apartment was mine! She refused to even pull my lease to look for a "turnover" clause, and said I'd have to call back since everyone else who works there is supposedly in a training course til Thursday. What could possibly take 3 day to teach these people, I have no idea.
Hopefully, they're learning NOT to steal from their tenants, but don't count on it. Do like I did- take pictures before move-in and what it looks like when you move out. I trusted them to do right by me without an official exit walkthrough (it was a Sunday when I left, right before Memorial Day so no staff were on site), so I have proof they are lying and intentionally withholding part of my deposit just because they can. However, most likely, I won't spend the time or money to take off work and drive back to Florida multiple times to pursue this in small claims court. Quite frankly, writing this review is worth more to me if I can keep it from happening to the next person. Especially if the next person decides not to live at Evergreen Club.
Good luck, and don't let them rip you off too!
