Well, maintenance is great, will come quickly - however, people in management office do not give you a time period of when they will schedule your request. It is quiet most of the time, I mean if you live in an apartment complex, you should expect some noise. They do have a dog breed restriction, which is fine but for about 6 months i had to listen to and complain to the office about a tenant's large and aggressive german sheppard that was left out on a leash allllll day long and barked excessively, in the middle of the night too (like 1am, 2am, and 3am). Other tenants were afraid to go near that dog. the tenants, after months of mine and several others complaints, were evicted. i felt bad, I did not think that eviction was the answer (even though they were in violation of their lease), all I wanted was for the tenants to show some respect and walk their dog on a leash like every other tenant, and not let the dog bark excessively for hours on end. Anyways, the landscape is nice, but be forewarned, the landscapers start cutting the grass at 7:15AM!!!! sometimes 2-3 times a week. The sprinkler system smells like sulfur - which I have heard is a common problem in Jacksonville, but I have spent time with friends in other places and their apartment complexes don't have the sulfur stench. Visit the place at night and you will smell it. I haven't experienced any or seen any crimes or heard of anything, but know that this place is not gated, no security whatsoever. When I moved in a year ago, a police officer had lived in the building next to mine but he moved out. Sometimes I could hear my neighbors moving about in their places, esp when they ran their laundry or dishwasher, but that didn't bother me. The pool though, is gross, it has mildew spots all over the bottom, steps and some of the pool walls - and the chairs are black - too hot to sit on! Black chairs in Florida does not make sense to me. Anyways, the office people are relatively nice, however, they gave me a hard time when I told them I was not renewing my lease (I had to relocate to NY!) - and I have yet to get my security deposit back. I took pictures of my place when I left and left it in a better condition than when i moved in. The tenant before me never cleaned! So I was not happy, but maybe others are. I have tried to give a decent review with pros and cons. Prices aren't bad, but rent is increasing here like everywhere else. Parking is relatively adequate, lighting is decent. No place is perfect, but when I have to come back to Jax, I would not live here if rent was free.

i was also glad that we left. a couple of things though.
landscape is ok, they actually only cut the grass on mondays, about as early as you say. my apartment was broken into exactly a year ago, complex 20. and management didn't give a ----, just wanted a copy of the police report. they never even fixed our door frame, which was only nailed on. i never really heard any of the neighbors either, except this yappy little dog next door.
and the sulfur smell is basically everywhere, its terrible.
