I have lived at the Colony Apts. for 1 year. During my residence my brother was robbed and beat up severely. They stole his wallet and his money and cell phone and only getting $5.00 for the most part. The 3 ------- Americans that beat him up live in the same apartments or in the ones next to the Colony which is Sweetbriar. These are the kind of people the management company are allowing to move in. Don't get me wrong the management company is really nice and seem to generally care however I'm not sure they have any control and as security they claim to have a security guard on the property and I have never seen him. (NOT ONCE!) When we called the police they acted as if my brother commented the crime and wanted to know why he was over in this area. My brother was visiting! The cops don't care what happens since this area has a reputation for drugs and crime so they think if you live there you are the same way and you are not the victim you are the criminal as well. Jacksonville Cops are a real peice of work. Do your research before moving into this area!!!! uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax
