DON'T MAKE A MISTAKE AND MOVE HERE

I have been living here for the past 11 mos. Unfortunately, I signed a 12 mo. lease. Maintenance is virtually non-existent. Make sure you keep your night-chain on to keep maintenance & contractors from using their keys and coming in without even knocking on the door. This place is located next to a sewage treatment plant that causes the air to be 'unbreatheable' once a month. Trees are all over the place and drop 'sap' all over your car...buya a car cover if you move here. There is a drainiage problem, 2-3 inches of water stands on the sidewalk behind bldg. 18. every time it rains. There is only 1 trash compactor for the enitre complex that is full all the time and trash builds up on the outside and is very unsightly, unsanitary, and very inconvenient. The management office personnel will give you lip-service and do nothing. THINK TWICE BEFORE MOVING HERE ! I CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE !!!!

It's so funny that you feel that way. Obviously you have no concept of apartment living and I'm sure the office staff is READY for you to be gone. Get over yourself. What can they do about trees the city planted? Really? What can they do, really do, about a treatment plant built behind them? And because you are in a low lying area, you think you are special? Go talk to people who live in San Marco that have to deal with water up to their knees after it rains. And if you don't like to see trash, tell it to the lazy people around here that can't walk 10 steps to the extra dumpster right behind the compactor to dispose of their trash. If everyone was smart, they would know how to dispose of their trash and it wouldn't be so unsightly. Oh, and if you didnt already know, trash is unsanitary too. Really, if you don't want to be bothered with all of that, then you will be hard pressed to find anywhere on earth, especially in Jacksonville to live! Reading some of these reviews is hilarious. You people are such babies. Grow up and realize that no one is perfect, not even you, and you are renting an apartment, not a home. What goes on outside or in the air or when it rains is not the staff's fault. As far as maintenance, you do realize you live in an apartment and when you signed your lease you consented to management entering at anytime to complete maintenance and upkeep on the apartment right? It isn't up to you to decide when they come fix problems. Do you think they like going into people's apartments? I'm sure they don't cause not everybody is clean. I know my neighbors aren't anyway. So really, go buy a house so you can complain to your association of all the problems you have. Good luck with that!

This was a perfect description..... 100% correct. IN ORDER TO SEE THE "DRUG DEALERS", YOU HAVE TO WALK OVER BY THE PLAYGROUND. MOST DRUG DEALS GO ON AT THE PLAYGROUND NEAR THE POOL IN THE BACK OF THE COMPLEX. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE THE BAD REVIEWS, JUST CONTACT JSO & ASK THEM HOW MANY TIMES THEY HAVE BEEN OUT TO GREENTREE. ALSO, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN A "LADY OF THE EVENING", YOU DON'T HAVE TO GO TO THE GATOR LODGE, GREENTREE HAS PLENTY OF THEM.

Anonymous...get over with the DRUG DEALERS. I have called JSO and there have been minimal calls. Mostly handicap calls from residents where residents shouldn't park and other residents hit and run other vehicles and domestic disputes. It seems as if we the residents need to be more proactive and do our part to make it better for ourselves. I stay out at the pool alot and see nothing of what you are speaking of. GET OVERYOURSELF. You obviously have something against them because YOU did something wrong. REMEMBER NOT EVERYONE AND EVERYWHERE IS PERFECT. WHO DIED AND MADE YOU GOD. I DON"T THINK SO.

I am a Resident at Green Tree and so far its nice yes there are problems with the smell around building 18 and when it rains it there is a very large amount of water thats on the sidewalks but I've never seen any drug deals by the playground i live right next to it. the only problems that i have had were disposal problems and i really don't like that if you bump the walls the thick amount of paint they put on it chips and the paint covered counter tops stain extreamly easy. i enjoy living at these apartments. and its in a good area where you can get to everything.
