The only reason why I am moving is because I'm taking a job in Tampa. At which point, I'm moving into our sister property, Ashton Park. I actually visited that property this weekend and it was decent as well. But people trashed that one on this site just as others are trashing The Huntington. Every complex I've searched gets bad ratings. People can be so negative. I'm very particular about where I live and I'm a single mother with a toddler. I've been in Jacksonville all my life so I know these streets like the back of my hand. The Huntington is quiet and safe. The location is perfect as my daughters daycare is off Merrill road. I've had no issues at all. Yes, this place could stand a fresh coat of paint on the outside but overall you're paying to live right next door to a country club and a very reputable established area. I feel as though I am tucked away into my own little world. Everything is in walking distance. My neighbors are quiet and keep to themselves just as I do. We greet one another in passing and that pretty much sums up my interactions with anyone. As for the management: Kathy, Julie, and Shavangela have all been good to me. When I had personal issues they really showed me love and gave me FAVOR. God bless them. I keep adequate records and documentation of any payments so when there have been mix ups I just whip out my copies and keep it moving. This isnt the Hamptons people!! But its not the projects either. I live by working class adults that are mature and mind their own business. I'd highly recommend this community. These reviews can be very misleading. Everyone is so negative. I found this site only when I began to look for apartments in Tampa near my new job. You can call the Huntington home and be secure here. No issues with crime or anything.
