this place is a nightmare. Not too bad years ago when they had pride in the place. since then they turned section 8. I am afraid to be outside without someone with me even in the screened in porch. They don't take care of landscaping and hasn't been mowed in forever. they even have a citation from the city of jacksonville on the office door that has been there for awhile about the grass and landscaping. there is a dishwasher that they won't fix. they tried to fix a toilet that kept breaking by putting a lighter underneath it to level it instead of putting the proper piece to fit the toilet. for the price I pay I am going to head to a complex that has better service and ammenities and not have to be scared for my safety.

I lived at the Huntington from 1999-2005. When I first moved there in 1999, it was the most beautiful complex I'd ever seen. I loved my apartment! I think it was the dining room mirror that won me over. :) The rent was very affordable for such a nice one bedroom apartment. I paid $540 per month when I moved in. When I left in 2005, my rent was $615. The staff was very friendly and professional. The maintenance team was good, and always repaired things asap! The property was beautiful and well maintained. The neighbors were all very respectful and quiet. I never felt unsafe. In fact, I was comfortable walking around the community at any hour of the day or night! The only reason I moved in Feb of '05 is because I wanted more space. I guess this just proves what Section 8 can do to a community.

yep I miss the days when I could walk out of my apartment. I use to walk from there but now I have to wait till someone got home with the car before I can go somewhere. I am in the back of the complex and I won't even walk through the neighborhood to get somewhere where need to be. I have stuff of value in a storage unit cause I don't want them to be in this complex. I remember the days of taking walks through here. or walking to the other side of the complex to visit a friend.
