I am moving into a 1 bedroom newly renovated condo at the end of this month. The leasing rep, B.K., has been NOTHING short of PLEASANT showing me the model and apt a few times so I can buy furniture to fit. I am downgrading from a bigger apt into a smaller one, but for the $$ you will not find a more gorgeous newly remodeled place in Arlington. The grounds, every time I have gone, have been kept up and clean. The residents currently there dont look suspicious or menacing, and the ammenities seem all updated as well. I would think if any of the current residences had a complaint about their old apt, they could move into a new one. The last time I was in the unit I am moving into, there was plastic on all the applicances and the carpet had been covered with plastic while the maitenance was putting finishing touches on it. I suspect after a good year or two I would be willing to purchase it. I did my homework on the area, and I live less than 5 miles away and dont have a crime problem in my complex now, but face it every place you go will have the occasional domestic dispute or loud noise complaints, but if the complex does their job, they wont be there for long. Just because a Section 8 complex is around the corner, does NOT mean they will be invading yours to use the ammenities. If the residents all do their part and keep their eyes peeled, 1/2 the problems could be avoided. Its when ignorant people turn their nose and dont want to be involved that problems go unnoticed and they are the same people who complain no one does anything about it.
