I lived at The Springs for 2 years and didn't have many complaints. The grounds were kept clean, but that doesn't mean there wasn't some trash or small piles of tobacco on the ground (I'm sure you can guess why that was there). Overall the landscaping and apartments themselves were attractive. I liked how all front doors were on the first floor regardless of what floor you lived on. Noise was minimal. The people below me fought a lot and my neighbors to the right let their kids out really late during the weekdays which was annoying when you have to go to work. However, I did make a complaint and it was taken care of rather quickly. You can't help who you have as a neighbor (unfortunately). The insides were very updated. High ceilings, berber carpet, track lighting. I did have my closet collapse in the middle of the night, but maintenance was there the next day. The staff was always friendly, some would call you by your name. They would occasionally hand out breakfast in the mornings which was a nice gesture, but I'd rather have lower rent. Speaking of rent, my 1 bed 1 bath second floor apartment was 750.00, 775.00 then 780.00 (but I moved before 780.00). So, the prices are steep and go up, but I'd rather pay for quality instead of running the risk of the JSO pulling a body out of the pond. The power went out a lot too for whatever reason, but that may have just been JEA. Parking was fine with the exception of when someone threw a party or whatever. My only complaint was where I was designated to park flooded whenever it rained so that was irritating. The security gate actually worked too, so that was amazing. Even though I had some minor complaints, I would still recommend this apartment complex and really the only reason why I moved out was because I moved in with my boyfriend. Nothing is perfect. But, at least you know that maintenance or the staff is willing to actually help you when (if) something happens.
