Too pricey for what you get.

My rent has increased about 30% in the last 4 years as services have declined. Maintenance is horrible and slow. Everything in the apartment is outdated and cheaply constructed. Insulation is non-existent so you can hear everything your neighbors do. Water and sewer have gone up to about $60/month, so you're going to want to figure that into your rent. Only one of the phone jacks in my apartment works, the phone company says the apartments own the inside lines and the apartment management said it was just tough luck and I could pay out of my pocket $100 to get the other jack fixed. My air conditioner needs freon every other month and it takes them 2 or 3 days to do it. That means I'm without adequate air conditioning for a day or two every other month. Finally, if you every get an NSF on your rent check (they won't redeposit it so don't ask them), regardless of the reason (even if they deposit it before they promise to), you'll be paying rent by money order for the remainder of your stay. I gave them a check 5 days before rent was due as I was leaving town and I asked them to hold it until the 1st, so my paycheck could clear. They deposited it the day I gave it to them, and then charged me $300 in fees for the NSF and late rent payment because I didn't return until the 5th.
I'm out of here next month and I'm not looking back.
If there are apartments in Hell, Mid-America is managing them.
