This community appears to offer the whole package:affordable rent, free after school kids program, spacious ammenities, etc. They even gave us a lower rent deal than advertised...

My husband had major reservations about living there but being the optimist that I am...I convinced both of us this would work. Boy was I wrong.

What they lack is professionalism and courtesy. I am glad I did not make the mistake to rent here. Our family is moving back to Jacksonville from VA and we took the time to view the property. Once we returned home we overnighted the application and ALL necessary paperwork. Here is where it went sour...

1. Management claimed to have not received an employment verification for a week only to discover that they had it all along.

2. Leasing agent did not communicate with us at ALL and lied about calling several times. In this day and age of caller id and voice mail, this notion was ridiculous.

3. They said we were "approved" however they needed additional information and the leasing agent repeatedly stated she did not know what was going on. Her excuse was that she was "new" and ONLY been there for some months...;) There was always some "additional" information the agent could not articulate what exactly that was. This is the same person who would promise to follow up with us at some targeted date only for us to discover she was off and not working that day.

4. Whenever we called to get a status update they never knew who we were...( one agent would say: Have you sent in an application ( uh yeah and the fees!) and then the same agent would say something contrary like: We are waiting on corporate, they are really slow...I will send your paperwork back to them ( for the third time).

5. We finally waited to see if/when they would contact us and after 4 weeks we STILL didn't hear anything. We called only to be lied to again and given some babble about government regulations, etc that we were already fully aware of. The manager came on the phone and when she was caught in a lie, started to become defensive and tried to talk over us the whole time. But here is the icing on the cake:
As soon as the leasing agent we had been dealing with heard our name her first response was : "OH MY GOD". Clearly she realized someone had dropped the ball, would you say'

I should have taken heed to the signs not to lease here when friends would ask where we applied only to respond..." Are you sure you want to live there'" "Umm... that might not be what you are looking for" and " Oh NO! Do not move there".

All this to say I am so glad I finally looked at the signs and stayed away. Maybe your experience will be different. Good Luck!
