Whilst the apartments themselves are nice, I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to recommend them to anyone.

Just a few observations whilst living there:

*It is incredibly noisy(though I tried to keep in mind that they are low income apartments and most of the individuals there had an abundance of children).
*People enjoy socializing late at night and on the stairway far too often.
*You can always count on someone to blast their radio late at night as well.
*And not to sound extreme, but there's no need to watch cops on the television, because you can always count on something "going down"--there's -seemingly- always some form of entertainment.
*The trash is always on the outside of the dumpster and the dumpster is empty--Of course, I found that this was usually because parents sent their children to take out the trash and seven year olds have an awfully hard time throwing the bags into the dumpster.
*Hope you like the wooded view... with all the dirty diapers.

As for the management, I personally never had any problems with them as I paid my rent on time and kept to myself.

If you're looking for something cheap and for a short period of time, they're simply there--though I would make sure you had an apartment in a building close to the office.

The management, I'm sure are aware of the several issues, as they're no secret. However, it doesn't take just the management to keep the apartments going... it takes the cooperation of the community as well. uWDgQKY3Vkv8FKIsB8Ax

I can vouch for the accuracy of this review since I live in a home on the perimeter of this apartment complex. The noise is as described, the trash not only ends up outside the dumpster but also outside the complex itself.. in the middle of Lenox Avenue. The police are there on a regular basis.

Thank you for such a wise statement because it does take the community to make a difference. Maintenance works very hard and diligently at getting the trash picked up daily, yet people continue to sit their trash outside the compactor. The children are too small to take on this task. We aim to offer quality customer service.

In response to the following reply:" One question is the word wilst being used properly... WOW somebody skipped english during school.... HAHAHA," I believe it's rather apparent that you're the one who skipped english WHILST attending school. Does middle english ring a bell? Better yet, perhaps you should check with your local library or perhaps take the short route, and visit dictionary.com. Or, I could just save you the trouble and let you know that "whilst" is an alteration of the word "while," but also equivalent in meaning. And, to dumb that down for you, "those there words mean the same darn thing, H'yuck."

I hate to say this, but why do *most* people who live in low-income houses can be "ghetto"? I mean not only to they pay cheap rent, but they have no respect for the property and they mess up everything and leave it trashy? It's a shame since the complex is fairly new. People like them can't keep anything nice, that's why they wonder why they can only live in trashy places, because that's how they keep them. I don't think it costs any money to clean your apartment regularly, and God forbid you have to walk all the way to the dumpster to throw out your trash. I mean damn, it really doesn't cost you to keep the complex clean. Maintenance can only do so much. You gotta realize they have other things to do, like fixing other people's apartments and doing the regular clean-up that they can't always be behind people who are lazy and trashy. It's also a shame because not every person who has a low income act like this, and it's a shame that most of the apartments that accept vouchers are apartments that are dangerous and ghetto. If I were management I'd be strict about the people I bring in to live there. A very strict criminal check in robbery and violence, and definetly drugs. Too many kids live in that apartment to have filthy drug dealers and users around. It's true what this person said, everyone has to also help out. It's where you live and you gotta take care of it also. It's just like when you have company over you clean your place before they come in.

It doesn't matter what kind of background check is done on tenants or how strict they are on who they rent to. Because all of the drug dealers and "jack boys" are not even living in Lenox Court legitimately. They stay with their unemployed baby mommas who have HUD vouchers, and hang around outside all day and night selling drugs, stealing, and fighting.
