Do NOT move to Lighthouse Bay. Don't even VISIT the place. Save your money.
My wife and I lived there for two and a half miserable years, and while admittedly, it was reasonably priced and nice when we first moved in, things went downhill really fast.
My main problem with the place was the kind of people they let in as tennants - noisy, violent, careless, rude, drunks, drug dealers, junkies who habitually shot up in the laundry rooms (no, I'm not kidding) welfare broodmares with 3 or 4 kids living in a 1BR, you get the idea.
The cops were there (ARE there) constantly to deal with all of the riff-raff, there is no security, both of our cars as well as my apt were broken into more than once, and complaints to management went virtually ignored. This is NOT a place safe for young kids - the few playgrounds they have are shoddy and in disrepair, and many residents speed through the parking lots at 50 mph plus, with of course, that annoying ubiquitous car-stereo bass blasting... you all know the scene. Lots of partying, fighting, and noise going on all throughout the whole complex, all the time, day & night. They don't call this area of town "Sin City" for nothing.
Not too many problems with maintenence that I can recall, most service was OK - when the maintenence staff bothered to show up for work. High turnover. The laundry facilities were absolutely horrid, often the machines were'nt even working, and many residents threw their household trash in the cans in the laundry rooms that were seldom emptied. The grass & shrubs all around the complex (that were still alive) was maintained semi-regularly.
You're given access to an excercise & indoor pool facility which is just as poorly maintained like the rest of the pools in the complex, so it's hardly worth it. They don't maintain the gym equipment, it's all old and beat up or inoperable, and and the indoor pool is this geriatric social club run by rude old flabby white guys who don't want you to invade their space. You're often told to "get out."
They allow pets there, and many of the aformentioned residents have mean, dangerous dogs that aren't kept on leashes and could be frequently seen roaming freely around the complex. There was in fact, a few residents who even used to openly fight their dogs on the property for entertainment before the cops ending up breaking it up.
Management is a joke. The leasing house always looks nice, but everybody in that place has developed such an attitude, and they treat everyone with so much contempt you feel like an inmate rather than a resident. Problems do NOT get resolved. They just don't care. Many of the leasing people that work there don't even know what they're doing.
Stay away. FAR away. LB may be cheap, but remember, you truly do get what you pay for in the apartment biz.
