Well my boyfriend and I have been here since Oct.05. We moved here because of Hurricane Katrina. When we first arrived in the Jax area- Logan's Pointe was the only apartment complex that was willing to work with us in regards to deposit, 1st months rent and app. fees. We paid nothing for the first several months. When we fist came to view the apartment the staff didn't want to take us to view the apartment, so we went and view by ourselves. Then when we signed the lease I asked about the gates and Vicki (former Asst. Mgr.) told me someone was going to be coming out to fix it that following Monday. UMMMMM. They still do not work! I had to send in a work order for our AC which continued to run day or night- no matter what temp. you put it on ( I had never paid over $80.00 month to JEA)then maint. came to fix it and now I pay about $100.00. My dishwasher leak when it is ran and it leaked underneath my kitchen sink. I called in for a work order and they have yet been by to fix it. The cable is constantly on the fritz and if you make a complaint and they tell you someone will be in on Tuesday to fix it( cable is satelite cable-through Direct TV, but owned by New media Cable, So evertime it rains the cable goes out!). I have had to get nasty with the staff about our crappy cable. My boyfriend says WE don't pay for it, so how can we complain. They closed off all the outside amenties, such as laundry room, outside bathrooms, pool and even the excerise room do to someone smearing feces on the boys outside bathroom walls. When I asked if I could break my lease because of breech of contract I was told it would cost $1100.00 to get out. My boyfriend and I discussed it and decided to look elsewhere, but to stay put until Sept.06. There has been a rate increase for 1/1- from $611 to $630. and 2/2 (which we have on 3rd floor) from $732. to $754.
The most recently hired staff is great, but the Property mgr. Desiree is rude and doesn't want to be bothered with your problems (for the most part). I have had to call the sheriff's office on my neighbor for playiong his music (bass) so loud at 10 or 11 pm untill 2 or 3 am that I had to go sleep in our guest room. All I can say about this apartment complex is we didn't have a pleasant experience, but you may have NO PROBLEMS. I guess it just depends. In the last TWO weeks all but 3 couples in my building alone are vacating their apartments for complaints I have stated above. I will not reccommend this place to anyone I know. I hope this will be helpful! I just wish I knew about this site, prior to moving in here..

You should move to Spinnaker Reach, we love it here. Excellent management staff and maintenance is GREAT! You'll love it there.
