I dont feel like writing a short story on how terrible Melrose really is so I am just going to make a list of the negatives and the positives. Expect very little of the positive. Let me count the ways...
1)Moving in, I was supposed to be living with two of my friends. Well they gave away our 3 bedroom apt. and all other had at least one person, so only two of us could live together. Every aprtment had smokers in them so it was all gravy. (sarcasm)
2)My car has been keyed multiple times,gum stuck all over including key holes,and dented by some cool person. My roommate's car was keyed from top to bottom and tires were slashed. Friends sports bike was knocked over and damaged multiple times. and stickers were put on it that dont come off very easily. And our cars werent the only.
3)Loud, shi**y rap music with bass turned all the way up. Expect walls to shake and windows to rattle. This occurs 24/7. It's actually happening right now.
4)Maintenence is horrible! our sink would not stop dripping. two weeks after our request we got a new one. It doesnt drip anymore but sometimes the faucet falls off unexpectedly and water sprays everywhere. The lock in our door went dead (electronic key card doors) i was locked out of my apartment during a storm for 3 hours. Why it took so long for maintenence' Aparently he was waiting at the wrong apartment! whoops! He then fixed it by prying the lock apart with a screwdriver and breaking it.
5)Angry drunks roam the streets at night and try to start fights. sometimes they arent even drunk.
6)Littering--broken beer bottles everywhere. When people take the trash to the dump they put it on their cars and speed off so that it falls off and if it doesnt break open the racoons will be sure to do it later that night because they dont stop to pick it up if it falls off.
7)I have heard two gun shots in the 7 months i have lived here. There has been one stabbing i know of and there have been armed robberies. Also, I'm pretty sure we have many illegal immigrants living in Melrose.
8)Lot's of parties on any given night of the week. go on through the night.
9)A huge roach problem..they even crawl out of the cracks of my shower while I'm in it and on my counter while preparing food. Delicious!
10) The gym would be nice but people find it necessary to steal the dumbells and cut the wires on the treadmill.
11) People piss on your car when they are drunk or even if they are not. I know this because i have done it to my friends cars.
12)SPEED BUMPS SUCK....Most people speed over them anyways or offroad it.
13)FRONT DESK SUCKS..thats all i have to say about that.
14)The pool is really the only thing I havent found a problem with. Probably because i have been there once. I'm sure people piss in it when they are drunk because I probably would. If you wanna go swimming go to the beach..its like 10 minutes away.
I should have just wrote my story. It would have been prettier. There are other things that suck here..like drugs and such but we will save those problems for another day. The rap music stopped now so im gonna take a nap before it starts again. And BEWARE-MELROSE SUCKS ASS
