Where do I start' When I moved in, there was a man in my apartment who ran away when I opened the door. Apparently the locks werent changed and he was a past resident. Then, the apartment was nasty and required a full deep cleaning....Then, the a.c. broke, actually it was working...just wouldnt shut off except with the thermostat, so the maintenance came and shut it down to order parts, a week later, I am still waiting, meanwhile it is 92 degrees everyday. Icemakers broke, so is the oven. Too bad the guys trying to fix it barely speak english so I can tell them it is still broken. I can only wonder what is going to happen next....ugh DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!

If it's truly that bad, there are legal actions you can take. You could even call one of the local news stations (Ken Amaro) and report it. I think you can also legally with-hold your rent until the problems are fixed. Don't quote me on that, though.
