Please Do Not Move Here....Don't Even Think About It

I must start by saying that I have never written a review about anything before. I've recieved bad service from place and products that I did not like, but I always chalked those up to being just a part of live.

You live and you learn.

But in this case I feel so strongly about this issue that I would not want anyone else to go through this.

Honestly, this place should not be allowed to operate. First, they are so old, they still have lead paint in the apartment, asbestos in the walls and I don't even want to think about what else might be in here. You have to buy renters insurance before they will even let you move in. That really should of been my first clue. No smoke detectors anywhere, but I must say they do provide a fire extinquisher...which may or may not work. I hope that I will not have to find out. Anyone with children should steer clear of this place for that reason alone.

I have had several Maintenance request submitted and they only came by two times and then they were not able to solve the problem. I have not seen them since. They are supposed to have a exterminator service that comes out once a month, I work nights so I am home during the day and they have yet to come to my apartment. I have been here 5 months, my lease is about to end and I must say that this has been a learning experience for me....Please don't let it be that for you. KEEP LOOKING

You know,Mission is not the best in town but it is cheap rent when you see and feel everything else going up. When you purchase a home, car, boat, etc purchasing insurance is required. Getting goods & services like health & life (insurance)Why would you not value your personals? (w/insurance) Should something awful happens who will you turn to without insurance?

But the insurance is not only to protect your personal belongings but you, any guests and the property. If you have a guest in your apartment and they slip in fall in your apartment while visiting you and they attempt to sue you personally, you are covered. That is just one scenario. Another, your neighbor has a flood and is no fault to you and your belongings are damaged you have insurance to protect yourself. The Management companies does not protect your personal belongings, although people would like to think that, it does not. While shopping around for apartments I have found that a lot of apartments are requiring insurance to be carried by the residents. And if you still do not have smoke detectors you need to contact the office and let them know or you can do a work order online through their website, that is what I do so I have a record in writing as to when and why I am contacting them. Quite frankly, I have always carried renter's insurance regardless if it was required or not in any apartment I have ever lived in. My car was broken into years ago while living in an apartment and many of my personal belongings were stolen. My car insurance did not cover my personal belongings, most people think it does but it does not, my renter's insurance covered the loss. Just food for thought!

Of all the things that I posted about this apartment complex buying or not buying renters insurance is the least of my concerns. But I do believe that it should be your choice to buy insurance. That is way on the bottom of the list after smoke detectors, exterminators, double paned windows to keep the noise and heat out. Trust me I can go on and on about this place. Based on your responses I can't help thinking that you work here. If you do, I bet you don't live here.

Whoever wrote the rediculous review works there lmfao pathetic place to live management sucks bi-polar people in the office that won't even speak to the residents and laugh at them when they walk out the door... live there if you want to because its cheap but trust you are gonna hate it. MANAGEMENT SUCKS AND ALL THE RESIDENTS KNOW IT!!!!!!!!!
