When we moved to Jacksonville in early 2007 we couldn't get into any apartment complexes because we had just finished temporary employment with AmeriCorps and had just become employed with our new jobs. A number of complexes required current pay stubs to even be considered. Northlake qualified us based on credit and a background check which assures we, as well as our neighbors, make enough to pay our rent and are safe to have in the community. During the 14 months my wife and I lived in Northlake we greatly enjoyed the abundance of trees and the ducks in the pond right outside of our door. The few times we needed repairs they were done at our convenience and done effectively. The staff was always friendly and we never had any problems with them or our neighbors. We found the apartment to be peaceful, safe and just pleasant in general. When we first moved in people were always like "oh no, not the northside of Jax, I hope you have a bulletproof vest." but in all the time that I've stayed here I've never once felt threatened or uncomfortable.
