I'm telling you from my own personal experiences. This is a fact! Private/Personal mail are left out by the mailboxes for anyone to steal. If you don't believe me, then go and see it for yourself. If you're looking for a better place, then you deserve it..not in these apartments. I would have a professional to look into their lease before signing. I took a tour of the place, and asked detailed questions. I'm glad I didn't move in.

The mail is left out by the tenants because the person who used to live there did not do a change of address. The family who used to live in my apt. still get mail and they have been gone almost 5 years. 90% of the mail left out there by the tenants is junk mail and the mail person picks it up the next day.

Isn't it common curteousy to put Return to Sender on the front of the envelope and put it the outgoing mail slot. I found someones (what looked to be like) a bank statement envelope on the ledge. Someone could have easily taken it and stolent that person identity. What if it happened to you...wouldn't you be upset if the management knew this was happening and didn't do anything about it. If you don't have been..your key will at least work to write R.T.S. I've done it. yesterday...I took a pen I keep in my car door side pocket just and wrote on each and every one left R.T.S. and put them in the outgoing mail bin. I;m sure the mail carrier appreciates this as well. What ever happen to people having respect for other people PERSONAL STUFF!! That's part of what's wrong with this world :EVERYONE OUT FOR THEMSELVES AND SCREW EVERYONE ELSE. THERE ARE NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF SELFISH INCONCIDERATE PEOPLE IN THIS WORLD TODAY.

I'm torn on this...while I agree it is our responsibility as adults to fill out the neccesary forms when moving, I dont' think it's right to just 'stash' it out on the building ledge. I just moved here a week ago and I already have missing mail. The crazy part is, my boyfriend and I filled out the COA forms at the same time electronically, got confirmation and everything.....and his mail was in the mailbox waiting on him. My mail was on the ground. Someone didn't even give me the courtesy of putting it in the return slot. It was very personal information from not only my bank, but my return/contact information from my move. I am going to address this with the complex. I don't see how someone got MY mail but my boyfriends was delivered correctly, unless the previous tenants still have the mail key and are checking it frequently. Who knows.
