You don't need to be Mexican or speak Spanish to like this place like some idiot said before. I speak Spanish. My apartment was close to the entrance so I didn€™t have much noise problems, in fact it was very quit. My neighbors were all nice during my 3-year in the complex. It seems like the ghetto was located at the end of the complex. Often I could see scary looking people entering or exiting the community.
I was excited about washer units in the apartments but those units are crap, useless. The laundry for the community is always dirty and smells like ---- #44; I was always afraid to get some disease by sharing those washers. One day, a week before I moved out, I was awaken by the police, my car was broken, I have an old car that is always unlocked, well, they decided to break the windows anyway along with other 4 cars in the same area. I talked to the rental office and it seems they don't care as long as they collect the rent. I have never seen an announcement or something warning people about those incidents. It is obvious that they don't care about the safety to tenants.
Stay away, specially if you have kids. There are several options around at similar price, I did my homework before I moved out.
