I lived in the Palms for about a year in 2006. The apartment was really spacey and I liked the fishing pond and swimming pool. A kid did get his head blown off with a shotgun right in front of my building, across the parking lot. There are a WHOLE lotta --------, not that I care so much about that, it's just that their music is SO ANNOYING!!! And it's on all day, every day. I don't know if they're blaring it or the walls are just really thin, but it was aggravating. I didn't feel too safe, but I've lived in worse places.

It's just about 2009, what you said about the -------- is still true, and some of them are very nice people. I moved out about August after being burgalarized and having unsuccessfully waged war with a german cockroach infestation. If it was a nice place to live I would've paid for the REAL pest control to come out, but it's turned to such a hell hole with the scum and criminal activity. It was kind of exciting at times to be near all the criminal action especially when the police choppers came through real low, but even then that's only fun until you realize that you live there. Last thing I remember around the time I moved out was a cop trying to apprehend some punk thugs in a stolen car was nearly run over and shot into the car as it tried to run him down. He got hit and a couple of them got away. A- for action-movie like excitement and an F for "I'm glad I live here".
