In response to the person who wrote on December 16 regarding the offcing closing early for a Christmas Party. I cannot believe they closed early on the 16th for a Christmas party' How dare they' What a bunch of insensitive jerks!!! What a horrible management to allow the staff to take a minute to breath and celebrate a holiday whether it be Christmas or any other holiday. The staff probably doesn't have lives of their own they they should all sit by the phone or at the front door of the office waiting on you to complain about maintainence. By the way, if you call to tell someone you need something repaired, shouldn't you know they will be coming to fix it' Don't you think it's a little counter productive to give you NOTICE they are coming to fix the problem you complained about' Wouldn't you want the problem fixed instead of getting a notice it will be fixed' They should work every single day and never take a minute for their own families. The staff should never take a minute to celebrate any type of holiday, especially Christmas right' And closing early for daylite savings time' What are they thinking' They should stay open until all hours of the night so you can get a package. Maybe the terrible management you speak of cares about the safety of their staff, which are other peoples' children. (Like your teenage daughter you mention). Are you suggesting they should stay open so you can get a package IN THE DARK' Have you notice how dark it is at 6:00 in the Winter' As a parent myself, I would not want my daughter staying late during the Winter when it gets darker earlier so someone could get a package. Post office stays open late. May I suggest you get a Post office box if you can't get off work early enough to get home to get a package. Do you really risk the lives of others on the road to speed home to get a package' Did you really wait a month after putting in your request for repairs without calling in to see what the status was' Do you think they should do maintenance on a first come first serve basis or by importance' Maybe when your 1st floor apartment is flooding because of your upstairs neighbors forgetfulness, you should have waited until they fixed a broken linen closet door in someone elses apartment before coming to take care of your problem.
I have rented here going on three years. I have every intention of renewing my lease until I buy a house. I looked at apartments for weeks before settling on this one and I am quite happy with my apartment, the staff and the maintenance. Sure, I've had a repair from time to time. I have even had complaints. But, not as to the staff or management - but as to the neighbors. The staff has always been very courteous and prompt in their responses to my requests. I have seen these reviews from time to time and I guess I should have taken a minute to post my own. But, today I felt compelled to respond. It's a week before Christmas! You act as though you have never had a pleasant encounter with the staff. That can't be. Do feel better writing such mean things about such nice people' Maybe someone can get fired over written up or fired over it. Have you brought your concerns to the attention of the manager or are you just tearing them apart on line' It appears from your posting that you have only lived here less than one year. You did leave your e-mail address which is more than I've seen of others. I say to the others reading these ratings, I've been here 3 years and although you cannot please all the people...."all the time", I've been very happy with my apartment and the management. The only complaint I have is as to the neighbors, but I assume they cannot control that.
Did you notice by the way that this horrible management group collected food and other necessary items for relief of Hurricane Katrina victims' It wasn't more than 3 days after the hurricane when I went into the office and saw huge piles of food and water for the victims. Maybe the management shouldn't have allowed the staff to spend anytime collecting donations. They should have made them sit behind their desks to sit and wait for people to complain.
Bottom line, for anyone that reads these e-mails, these are people working to serve the residents. How would you like it if your customers could go on line and write mean things about you and the job you did in your employment, regardless of if it was true or not' These are nice people just trying to earn a living. Remember that you are writing comments about someones' spouse, child, parent or friend when you decide to write mean things about them especially, when you know it's not warranted. Take a minute and try to see the good not the bad. Sure, my apartment is not as fancy as something Donald Trump would rent, but I'm not Donald Trump. But after much research, I knew I was getting a great apartment for a great price and that's why I have no intention of moving until I purchase a home. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
