Don't be fooled by all the pretty little perks and green grounds. I've had a nightmare with this place, and even though I don't hate living here, I am not happy. First of all, when I moved in there were dead bugs all over the carpet and huge spiders every night for about a week and a half. No one cared when I moved in to ensure everything was good, so I had cold showers for 3 days until I could get maintenance in on Monday (no one gave me a number to call for emergencys). SEVERAL other maintenance issues which took a lot of phone calls and proding to get fixed.

Don't let the big gym fool you - you have to pay a $50 one time fee to get a card to gain access outside normal business hours.

The "lush nature reserve" is nothing but a drainage area for storm runoff, and it BREEDS HUGE mosquitos.

The dog park which they claim will be here soon - is still very much a tennis court and absolutely NO work has been made to turn it into a dog park; don't count on it.

The staff makes things up if they can't answer your questions - do research if you get a fishy answer (BTW, did you know bannana spiders have that name because they eat bananna' Give me a BREAK!)

No one seems to care about the health of my puppy - they seem to think it is OK for your dog to be in the house when they spray insectisides! Be on top when they are spraying your apartment -

The largest bathroom is attached to the guest room - Master bedroom has a TINY, cramped bathroom!

They'll tell you they have 24 hr security and cops living on location - but when a drunk/drugged out kid in his vehicle was threatening to smash up parked cars we had to wait 1/2 hour (kid was gone by then) for anyone to show up, and it was Jax police from somewhere else.

The place isn't horrible, but I've had so many problems with the place I wouldn't recommend it unless you are willing to deal with the problems.

Grounds are decent - but don't expect any cleaning of the area around your front door - I have to sweep dryer lint weekly (the vents are right by the doors - SMART)

The area floods if we get alot of rain. This complex seemed to the only one in the area with real trouble - I was not warned.

What do you mean you weren't warned? Can't you read? All you have to do is read the reviews here to realize this place is crap! It doesn't take a genius to know that the glowing, positive reviews are written by management. People, YOU DO NOT WANT TO LIVE HERE!

um, ok. so i have all the floor plans for paradise island right in front of my face and NONE of them has the guest bathroom attached to the guest bedroom. they are seperate. the 4 cops living there aren't on duty 24/7 and im sure they have personal lives. my leasing consultant told me they mostly lock up the place. if you didn't realize, there are bugs EVERYWHERE and they always will be EVERYWHERE. you'll have to deal with it anywhere you go. and no, you are not the only person living at this complex, there are 60 buildings. maintenance will always take a few days unless of course if its an emergency.

This place should band all pet owners because no one picks up their pets liter it smells so awful out here that I stop inviting people because of the complaints about the smell. There is dog crap everywhere, you have to watch your every step. The walls are very thin you hear everyones living situation, and I truely believe they use well water out here thats unfiltered and it smells awful too.

I completely agree with you the original poster...ligrl4387 must be part of the staff and must be one of the ones that makes things up...i've had just as many problems as you have and no this apartment complex is not what it looks like its going to be. anyone that rents and comes back to post reviews beware you were warned of this place.

I have to agree! I have complained time and again about the roaches in my apartment (and palmetto bugs are actually roaches too). I even sprayed and fogged myself, but to no avail as they travel from one apartment to the other. I think my dishwasher and refrigerator are the originals from back in '98. And as a dog owner myself, I complain that no one else picks up after their dogs. I have even found trash behind garages that is still there 4 months later!! The people are the only nice thing about this complex.
