I have lived here for 8 years with my folks when I was younger. Then when they bought a house I moved back with my fiance' 6 years later. The place is still wonderfully maintained, maybe better now. They are older, built in like 1986. They are huge for the money. My apartment has almost 1200 square feet. The maintaince team responds same day and even comes out on the weekend if needed. Its secluded here & for the most part, quiet. The occasional yapper dog next door or radio. No bad crime that I am aware of. Mostly elderly people or people with school aged kids. I can have my place painted every lease renewal or more if need be. I can have my carpets done to, for free. The pool is pristine, new fencing, new playground, nicely landscaped. The managers are always striving to make things beautiful & upkept. Almost anal about it. You may get yelled at about dogpoop if you don't clean it up & no car repair aloud on premise, even tire changing. (that sucks). They allow modifications to your apartment w/in reason, too. I love it here. Now a mother of a 2 year old, I feel safe here. For the money, I don't think you can get better in the Mandarin area. Its close to shopping, restaurant, etc. I love Mandarin. I've priced apartments around this area & they are pricey & tiny. The apartment doesn't have updated things, like crown moldings or custom paint. Its simple & unstated. If you're looking a comfortable, roomy, quiet area, this is the bang for the buck. I love my mandarin home!!
