These apartments are well maintained. It is close to everything on San Jose, but very quiet with few problem tenants. Most are retirees or nice young couples. I only had one problem waiting 4 months for a new dishwasher and the one bedrooms have no washer dryer hook-ups. The manager keeps a tight ship and is quick to address any issues that arise. The person who complained about dog poop above that I recall had two large dogs so I can see the problem. These buildings are old,and the rent seems extreme for the space; however, if you like quiet this is the place for you.

Freda doesn't run a tight ship, she runs a damn prison. I know someone who had a water heater bust & destroy most of their stuff. They tried to get Freda to help pay for the damages, since the water heater is VERY old & she got into their faces, screaming in German, that she wasn't responsible. She was degrading & in turn threatened to sue the tenants for damages!! They ended up moving out. These were not young people either. Freda thinks she can degrade people & get into there face & rule w/an iron fist. I'm sorry, but this is America, not the middle east! She treats people very poorly. I can understand wanting the place to look nice but there is a limit to the madness.

Oh my goodness, I have lived a Pickwick for many years and can not believe this nonsense. Freda has always been fair to all of us, she will not do something for me that she cannot do for my neighbors too. She is firm, but guess what, that is why Pickwick is what it is. We don't have all the low-lifes here that some other places have, and truth be told, if someone messes up and refuses to make it right, she will make them move out. I am so proud to call this my home and by the way, you need a geography lesson--Germany is not in the Middle East....
