The apartments weren't bad... they're doing a lot of work on them now. I guess it used to be a kind of rough neighborhood, but they put in a police substation 2 doors down from the complex, so its cleaning up rather quickly. The prices are really good for Baymeadows... if you've never lived in Jax, its the business area and there are some very expensive apts in the area.
Its a good location for schools.... theres a high school right next to the complex, and an elementary school right around the corner, as well as a YMCA, all within walking distance. Within 2 miles you have 2 shopping centers, and your choice of about 10 or more restaurants ranging from fast food to chinese to pizza to sit down dinner.
Just a warning, theres always construction on the main road... I guess its been going on for a few years now. You can't hear it from the apartments, but driving home during rush hour you can get a little delayed.
The apartments offer a gated entry, laundry rooms (downstairs apts have w/d connections)and a swimming pool, as well as a small lake/stream through the complex.

Also, if you have trouble locating it, its because they changed the name to Heron Walk.

Overall, its not bad at all.
