I've lived in this community for just less than two years. When I moved in, I was a newly single parent with a very limited income...and almost made too much money to live here (I made it in by $200 a year).
I've seen it change property management 3 times, now. Maintenance is spotty at best. I've called for muliptle things and most issues have gone unresolved. My front door was replaced over a year ago and the clean up and repairs are shoddy. My kitchen cabinets and counters were replaced last summer (they're beautiful) but in the process, my floor got ripped up, no trim was put around the bottom of the cabinets, the corner bead was ripped off one of the doorways...and in spite of numerous complaints, it's never been fixed. Maintenance people seem to change very often, so that may be part of the issue.
I've never felt in danger but I wouldn't consider it a complex that is on par with the surrounding residential areas. Bass music is often played loudly as cars drive in and out of the complex, regardless of the hour, day or night. Trash is prevalent. Pre-teens and young kids are often roaming the property with little to no supervision. The only truly alarming incident was a drive by attempted shooting that occurred last summer. No one was hurt but it's certainly nothing I would have expected for this area of town.
I wouldn't recommend this complex if you have any other options. Unfortunately, I have poor credit and a limited income. Sometimes you do the best with what you have.
