The front office staff needs to learn that THEY work for the residents - Rosetta, Sara, & Jennifer

The layout and ammenities of the apartments are great. Quality of construction is not - several 2nd story bathrooms have had their roof FALL IN. The management was slow to fix, only really getting on the ball after several residents called local building and health inspectors to complain. Many of the apartments have sub-standard or failing appliances, but the front office seems to think that improving the grounds with tree-trimming and new bark is more important.
The management just fired off most of the competent maintenance employees, only one of the original people that knows what he's doing (Bill) is left.
The front office management seems to get some power trip from harassing the residents. Examples: Regulations for parking violations are enforced on some and not on others. They put parking stickers that leave gummy residue on your car windows. Other people violate the parking rules on a daily basis(ie-parking on painted curbs and RIGHT next to No Parking signs) and nothing is done. While other tenants have been ticketed for parking next to an unmarked curb or behind their garage(not in anyones way) for even parking there less than an hour.
After firing some of the maintenance employes...The trash dumpster is now recently poorly maintained, trash piles up and when some residents can't put the trash in because it is full, the front office states in its newsletter that "some residents are not putting their trash in the compactor", like it's the residents' fault. That's it in a nutshell...front office management blames and harasses everyone else(residents & maintenance) for their own incompetance and shortfalls. Furthermore, there has been a recent rash of auto break-ins...maybe the focus should be away from harassing residents with putting parking stickers on their cars to actually securing the residents and the safety of their resident's property. Finally, the kick in the pants, rent has increased in DOUBLE DIGIT percentages upon every lease renewal. New and potential residents are offered discounts for signing, while residents that have excellent rental histories with the "Preserve" have their rent increase sometimes $50-75 per month when re-signing their lease. This was a great community, key word, WAS...we are getting out as soon as possible.
