I thought by moving to a gated community and paying more for rent that my family would be safer and would have a better quality of life. The gates continue to be open, cars have been vandilized, woman has been murdered on property, and since my initial walk thru nothing has been fixed. I feel very unsafe and ripped off. The two apartments down the street have become very ghetto... drugs being sold on property and HUD housing has entered. This area is not safe for kids. Roaches are a problem and have yet to have been sprayed. Water leaks and poor maintenance.

Sorry, but you are wrong about HUD, none of the three communities accept vouchers. And although there have been drug dealers around (clue- they are EVERYWHERE, as are murders) all three managers are doing there best to get rid of any and all of that kind of activity.

To: heritagemgt Yeah Well i am a current resident now at the preserves at cedar river and there has been another murder. Since i have been here nothing has gone right. I used to have ants in apartment soo big they had wings! So i don't think managment is doing that great of a job. The whole point of being in a gated community is actually having the gate used. During the day it's always open and that is ridiculous. There are unwanted people here! So you're telling me that managment is doing the best they can? Management isn't doing ANYTHING! This poor young man was shot in the parking lot and you know what HE DIED! I am supposed to feel safe? You have got to be kidding me! I have a child that i need to think of and from what i've heard all together there has been 4 murders that has occured in these apartments..I am fed up with this place and I can't wait to GET OUT OF HERE!
