Just moved in about 2 week and the area is nice but the maintenance is awful. The cabins are broken and they keep saying they're going to fix it and nothing yet, but they want rent on time. The roaches are awful and I'm not a slob. I'm going to call the Corp. office. Also I'm going to get the Apt Complex Inspector here since the office isn't doing anything. The pool have ducks swimming in them.

I am resident here too and have been for almost a year. There are NO ducks swimming in the main pool. I live right in front of the pool and i have NEVER seen a duck in there. You are probably talking about the second pool, and if you dont like it, drive to the main pool. There is nothing they can do to keep the ducks away. I admit to get some maintenance done around this place is almost impossible, but, persistence is key. If i need something done you bet i am there at the office harrasing them until it gets done. In my case, getting on their nerves works very well. If when you moved in the cabinets were broken you had every right to have them fixed before you put a toe in there. I inspected my apartment before I moved in and made sure every flaw was corrected. We pay good money to live here and we will have things fixed. Persistence is key, thats just the way it is. Oh, and about the roaches, they have nothing to do with you. They most likely were attracted to the previous tenants and believe or not it is up to YOU to get rid of them. Let me explain...we moved in here...there were the roaches. Management got terminix pest conrol in here twice and those suckers were still running around. So, we bought some modest roach traps at wal mart and just about one month later, BAM, almost zero roaches. I havent seen one in weeks. So, try that.
