I, too, am in complete agreement with everyone's comments about the Regional Manager/Site Manager/Jabba the Hut/the list goes and on. When I questioned why the renewal lease agreement must state the "retail price" even though it wasnt the amount given to me in a separate letter, she stated "thats the way they do it and there is no exceptions". I discussed this with a friend who works for H.U.D. (they oversee landlord vs renter issues and enforce the laws-not just for poor housing), he stated they should allow you to write an addendum and if not, she must explain to you why the agreed rental amount isnt the same on the lease. When I continued to question her, she threaten to not allow me to renew, saying she has the right to. I told her to doesnt and if she is doing this she must put it in writing give me time to locate other housing. she is a nasty beotch, there is no other way to put and unfortunately, you have no other recourse with Regency Place. I will finish my lease this year but I am outta here afterwards. I am tired of dealing with Mofia-types like this lady. PLEASE BELIEVE ME AND OTHERS WHEN WE SAY: DESPITE THE EXCELLENT FLOORPLAN, IT IS NOT WORTH THE HASSLE TO DEAL WITH HER OR THE NON-MAINTENANCE TYPES SHE HIRES. I wish you the best in your apartment-hunting prospects!
