I received an email about a recent review that was added to The Regency Place Apartments (a negative one of course) and it reminded me to do my final review. I moved out of the property mid-December 2006 after purchasing my own home. I had nothing but unprofessionalism and threatening speeching thrown at me in my 2 years living in the community. The last straw was the move out condition of the apartment. Anyone that knows me (and they should have known this of me anyway), I am NOT a nasty person. Any place I have rented has always been left in better condition than when i obtained it. They had $150 refundable deposit and I was expecting all of it. Needless, in the hitler-like manner of the resident manager and her co-horts (slaves), they determine that I stole 2 shower rods (what would I need with 2-my new place has 1 bathroom'), they damage an outside screen, of which I'm responsible for, I left dirty stove drip pans (I always purchase new ones when I leave a place because they are not clean enough for my preferences). On top of that you are suppose to pay for the utilities of the place (water & electric) until they complete their walk-thru - I thought that was the stupidest thing I've ever heard - whenever that is (no indication when the walk-thur was complete the refund I initially received was received until 1/17/07, a month after I left. I am not an idiot - no one is gonna make me pay for utilities in a place I dont even occupy.

Anyway, the initial refund was suppose to be $59.09 but due to their unprofessionalism the check I received was for $91.09...HAHAHA!! I did a letter back a week later demanding the rest of my deposit with the explainations above. I did receive an an additional $31.09 however they still insisted I stole 2 shower rods. I decided not to purse this any further because obviously they need the money more than i do.

BE FOREWARNED THIS IS NOT A PROPERTY MANANGEMENT TEAM OR PLACE YOU WOULD WANT TO LIVE IN! THEY DO NOT APPRECIATE THEIR NEIGHBORS AND TRY TO NICKEL AND DIME YOU OUT OF EVERYTHING DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT TAKES 2,3, SOMETIME 4 TIMES TO GET THEM TO COMPLETE ONE REQUEST.

This place is a joke. The owners will not spend any money on upgrades. carpets have been in units for at least 10 years. rents keep going up, but no improvements. Apartments are extremely overpriced.!!!! For what they are charging, you can rent a nice house. I expect them to go into bankruptcy soon. All they care about is collecting rent.
