I have lived here for 2 years and this place is the ghetto. Two of my neighbors had their cars stolen. Other neighbors had their bikes stolen and they were locked up on their porch. If it is dark outside carry a cell phone and mase. I went jogging one night in the complex and teenage kids chased me and threatened to beat me up. I called the police but nothing was ever done. Just a half a mile away at neighboring complexes is high crime and extremely ghetto living. All the appliances are older than my grandma. The A/C totally sucks. My electricity bill triples when I turn it on and I leave the thermostat set at 80 degrees. My neighbors play loud music in the middle of the night or they are drinking and causing commotion in the parking lot. The maintenance has its ups and downs. Sometimes they can fix a problem the same day and other times it takes weeks of calling and complaining. The laundry facilties are extremely poor. Nearly ALL the machines are broken and I swear your clothes come out of the washer dirtier then before. There are a few nice things about the complex. There are huge trees covering the complex. Very Pretty! There are 4 pools and a sauna. One pool is on the St. Johns River. Fitness center overlooks the river but most of the machines are broken. Rent is CHEAP compared to other places in Jacksonville. I only pay $570 for a 990sq/ft 1 bedroom. Miltary and certain hospital employees get a discount. There is a grocery store and bank right across the street. I truly think that no one has ever bothered me in my apartment because I have 2 dogs that growl at everyone outside.
