Worst rental experience ever

The worst apartment complex ever - seriously. For starters, expect a break-in in your car, that's a given. Lots of roaches, spiders, and snakes inside' Check. And I hope you don't intend on using air conditioning. Ours has been broken for almost a year, since we moved in, and the maintenenace staff cares nothing about fixing it. The lowest temeperature inside our apartment has been 76, usually hovering around 81 - yay. And the sewage system is just great - two nights in a row we had some other apartment's sewage come up through our kitchen sink and overflow all over our kitchen floor. And maintenance did nothing as usual. Lastly, we had 2 terrible leaks from the pipes in the apartment above that flooded the master bedroom closet, leaving a nice smell of mildew for months. All in all, a truly horrific apartment experience, and one I would not recommend for any reason. I would personally rather live on the street.

If this was actually true, then why did you continue to live there? Royal Oaks has a Total Satisfaction program, that if you??re not happy within your first 30 days, you can leave. I lived there for 5 years and the maintenance team has ALL ways fixed whatever problems I had. Car break-ins, you live in Jacksonville! It doesn??t matter where you are; stuff like that happens no matter what part of town you live in. You??re A/C unit didn??t work for a WHOLE year, please! I know that the office would have either replaced that unit or moved you into another apartment. Why didn??t you have the Pest control guy comes out to your apt? He??s there every Thursday? Plus if the maintenance didn??t fix any of those problems within two days, they prorate your rent until its fix. I also had my A/C quit and was prorated one day off my rent. I think that some people are babies. They should buy a home and deal with real problems that no maintenance team will fix for them. I never had problems with Royal Oaks and it??s a great place to live.
