The deficiencies of this complex are too many to list but here's a sample: Pathetic parking facilities, some units have spots but many buildings have so few spaces that if you get home after 5, you'll be parking 50 yards away or so. The management is is arbitrary about rules enforcment. Some of my neighbors park on the sidewalk, play loud music, openly deal drugs, or leave their trash on the doorstep. But the predatory office manager came by and threatened me with a $100 fine if I didn't take down my reindeer crossing sign in December 2004 and forced me to change my black rubber doormat for something larger, also by threatening $100 fine. Their threats are a weekly occurence. The maintenence man lives next door and when he was thumping his new home stereo, I asked him to stop and he told me "If you ever knock on my door again, I'm going to knock on something else." He has a key to my apartment too. Yippee! My wife and I are apalled at the neighborhood. The only thing worse than certain of our neighbors is the endless procession of hookers, dealers, crackheads and homeless walking in from the street and begging, soliciting and menacing. In the interest of our son's safety, our own sanity and what little dignity we have left, my wife and I are seeking an early termination to our lease. If that fails, we'll seek a restraining order against the maintenence guy, break the lease and take them to small claims court to recover our deposit. It's really that bad. Stay away. Stay far far away. Ironically, just a half block north is the charming community of San Marco. My wife and I, hasty to move in, assumed this place would have the same character.It does not. San Marco is like the well bred horse and these apartments are the stable floor. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere, do your research and NEVER move into a place hastily, even if you're in a hurry.
