I moved here in 12/2007, biggest mistake that I could of made.
Yes, the ducks are a pain in the butt. Every time you go out your door they think that you are going to feed them. And now that it is spring all the grown ones are having babies and there must be about 30 or more of the nasty little critter walking around pooping everywhere. Same with all the cats that either pregnant or have little ones running right behind them. They go where ever they want (I mean to the bathroom) but their favorite place is in the bushes by our doors.
Now lets talk about the lawn people, I wonder what they get paid to do'' I have not figure that one out yet. They do not pick up any yard scraps they just kind of throw them somewhere or anywhere they feel like it. When they blow the sidewalks after their so called cutting and trimming, they blow it all on your doorstep and patio. There is always trash on the property. I have had someone throw beer bottles on top of the bushes in front of my apartment, right under my windows. I have seen trash sit in the grass for weeks without it being picked up either by the lawn people or the staff that works here!!
There have been at least 5 robberies/burglaries since I have moved in here. This apartment complex was even on the news about the crime that is always going on here. Just about a week or more ago a couple were sitting in their own living room and someone walked right in and held them at gunpoint and robbed them of all their personal stuff. When asked as to what they (the office) plan on doing all I got was that they are asking JSO to make frequent runs through here. While what a joke--are they really going to protect and serve me when they are so out of shape that they are lucky the can protect and serve themselves'
I pay about $850 to $1,000 monthly ($20 of my rent is for my dog even though I paid a $400 non-refundable dog deposit). I pay all my utilities (water, sewer, trash pick-up, electric, cable, internet, phone). I have been living here 7 months and I barely know anyone lives around me because they are all snobs and think that their ---- doesn't stink. Don't they think that just maybe if all of the tenants got along better that just maybe people would not come into the apartment complex committing crimes because everyone would be watching out for each other. That even goes for the people who work for the apartment complex because they are to good to even say hi to the tenants when they ride by on their little golf carts. How about that, I pay their salary and make it possible for them to get a paycheck but they can't even say hello''' Something is wrong with that.
