Quiet, clean apartment

We have lived here for about a year, and the apartment complex is great. We love it here. There is plenty of parking, including a garage for each apartment, and the residents all seem to be very friendly and very well behaved. We had a few maintenance requests and they were resolved within a few hours of our request on the same day. Staff was very friendly. Apartment is also in a spectacular location. It's within a mile of a mall, 4 groceries, and lots of restaurants since it is right off of a major road (Southside). Another positive is that you have that benefit without any road noise. The apartment is in a wooded area that is really quiet and plesant. I like having a free washer and dryer in the unit, as well as a dishwasher and an A/C unit.
Only complaints I would have are that the workout facility on site is very small (a treadmill, an eliptical, some free weights and an all-in-one weight machine), but there is enough in there to get a good workout in.
I really enjoy living here and would highly recommend to any of my friends.

Are you serious? I have been living here for about 3 years now and you can hear road noise the minute you go on your patio or walk the grounds!
The workout facility while OK to use is in a pitiable state with some machines definately needing help.
The grounds are in a sad state with no maintenance done at all. They only blow away the leaves which then get into the garages so the residents are automatically doing the leaves cleaning!
The only landscaping maintained is near the enterance of the building. Come futher inside and you see no lawn maintenance or landscaping.

I have been apartment shopping recently and toured this complex. I found the landscaping to be fine. Not fancy but more than presentable. You seem to have a low opinion of the place, yet you have lived there 3 years. Are you being held hostage?

I agree - 3 years is a long time to live somewhere if you're not happy. I've lived here for a year now and I love it. The groundskeeper is out there every single day and landscapers every week, sometimes twice. They can only do so much though, it's the residents' responsibility to NOT throw garbage all over. And, they've started totally redoing the grounds anyway. Maybe that will be enough to shut you up.
