When I moved here this was the best place ever. Very relaxing to come home to and super peaceful. It has changed hands a few times in the years I have been here. The staff used to be friendly and inviting to talk to the residents. Now they are distant, evasive and you always feel like it was a waste of time to even approach them. New changes are taking place and it has made the property look much better.Probably the worst change is that before and after the pool was redone it seems to be for no one except the three familes that hold the pool hostage every weekend all day. You basically have to be a drunk to use the pool. The noise is horrible during football season with most of it coming from the head maintanence managers area. I was told right after we moved in that that has always been the problem living anywhere near him. The office seems to look the other way when their own employees disregard the rules. So basically this property is very nice, very relaxing if you can put up with drunks, noise late at night and very unfriendly office staff.

I totally agree with everything you said. The community is gorgeous and I love the work they're putting into it. But the whole environment has changed. I live right over by the maintenance manager and there is always a party going on, even late at night, and he and his friends go back and forth between the pool and their garages all night long, leaving garbage all over and making all kinds of racket. You can't even enjoy the pool because like the above person said, the same people are always down there drinking and yelling and carrying on. I don't know what's going on in the office, but there have been some staffing changes lately and it's completely gone downhill, especially with the bad attitudes and lying. I can't wait to move out of here.

They are making beautiful changes because they DO care. The issues that the two of you have are due to apartment living. Deal with it, or buy a damn house.

Apartment living means a lot to different people.Some people choose to have fun enjoying what the apartments have to offer and welcome those who choose to do the same and others choose to criticize those who do. I also do not believe in singling out the maintenance supervisor, It is apparent that this is from someone that is looking for a fall guy , I have lived in Southern Pines for years and the staff goes beyond what you might find in other communities. I do fill that living near the pool in a community takes understanding.

When one chooses to live in an apartment rather than a single family house, like it or not you are living with other people. I do not find the parties as terrible as described. Often, if one simply speaks up about a concern directly to the offending individual, the situation can be resolved. I take great exception to what was said about the maintenance supervisor. He is friendly, kind, efficient and most approachable. As to the pool situation, I find this laughable. I have often used the pool while parties are being held, and I have been invited to join in with the families in question offering me food, drinks and good company. This is a community of diverse people and diversity requires understanding and tolerance. I happen to find plastic, artificial plants a bit unsightly, but I look the other way when I see them and certainly would not fault a person for that kind of taste. Let's be understanding and not single out an individual who is by far better than most.
