When I first saw these apartments I fell in love with them. Very convinent to local shopping areas. But after my 4th month here I grew to hate them.
MAINTENANCE: Is horrible, Ive gone 2 days without hot water before and another time Ive gone 3 days without a stove/oven and the ability to use my washer and dryer. The AC is always freezing up no matter how often you change the filter or keep the thermastat to a decent setting. Ive had a leaky roof for 8 months now and Iv'e requested over 20 times for them to come fix it and they havent. When it rains heavy nearly my whole front part of my living room gets wet. My carpet smells and it got so moldy that my 2 year old got sick. That was my breaking point; I told them that I want to change to another apartment and they said that I would have to pay $500 for a inconvinent move. I refuse to pay $500 for something they were suppose to take care of! I got out of that place a month ago still having 4 months left on my lease and now their trying to sue me for the rent I still owe them. The safety of my child is way more important than paying for an apartment that is hazardous to my babys health
FRONT OFFICE: Everyone there is very rude and they talk about eachother behind their backs and then smile to their face as if their all "buddy buddy" I found it very unprofessional for them to do that infront of tenants.
THE GATES: They have I believe 5 maybe 6 gates and only TWO stays open 24/7. They are suppose to close the gates at 6:00pm and their have been times Ive came home at 5:00pm and the gates are closed except two. And I have to drive all the way around to an open one. Ive asked why keep 2 gates open and close the rest and their answer to me is for safety reasons. But yet their are 2 gates where if anyone wanted to can go threw one and leave out the other. They add $20 to your rent for gate cards that you will NEVER get to use.
THE TRASH COMPACT: their is ALWAYS trash filled up to the top and then ridiculous amount of trash bags and then some all around the front and side of the trash compact. It was very embarrasing bringing family and friends over and them seeing that. It lowers standards to not just the apartment but to myself for living there.
PARKING: good luck trying to find a parking space after a long and hard day at work. Their were times Ive had to park by another building because their were no parking spaces available and walk with bags of groceries up stairs to my apartment.
THE WALLS: are so thin you can hear conversations clearly. So thin that you can hear you neighbors having sex. I found it very disturbing and Ive told the front office that in no way should I hear what goes on next door and again of course they didnt do anything.
THE PEOPLE THERE: their is this older lady who has a lassie dog who she NEVER keeps on the leash. Their were several times Ive almost hit the dog with my car because it has ran infront of it chasing after a duck. Then she had the odassidy to yell at me for almost hitting her dog and I told her that if I or anyone else did hit her dog it was for her not keeping him on a leash. My baby has been in the car with me when Ive had to slam my brakes and then have the fear of him getting whip lash all because she couldnt follow a leash law. When driving into the apartments their are always people being stupid. Crossing infront of you while their 3 inches infront of your car. Then they want to take their time crossing sometimes even stopping infront of your car then they get mad if you honk your horn.
SAFETY: my 3rd month living there my car was broken into. When I told the apartments they responded to their was nothing they can do about it. My neighbor who no longer lives in the apartments told me right before my husband and I moved in the people who lived their prior had the police trash their home looking for drugs and weapons. Come to find out they were at the right apartment number but wrong faze. They were looking for the same apartment number just in faze 2 and they were in faze 1. That family turned and sued the city. Their are about 4 drug dealers that I know of who lives in the apartment building that I lived in. Trying to sell weed to my 15 year old nephew. Once in a while you can hear shooting from woodcreek clear as day into the madisons at night time. And just last week their were 5 police cars and a helicopter searching for someone inside the apartments banging on my door 3 in the morning asking me if Ive seen the suspect.
CONSTRUCTION: the apartments NEVER inform when their will be construction going on. Ive woken up several times to loud banging and when I awoke a mexican worker was staring into my apartment while Ive slept. My sliding glass door was open one morning and my 5 year old neice started screaming her head off because their was a man standing on the balcony looking at her. I cursed the man out, locked the door, and complained to the front office and again they didnt do anything the following morning I woke up to the same thing.

If Ive known these apartments were going to be such a hassle I would have never convinced my husband on living there. A girl who lives in my apartments now told us that when she lived in the madisons she lost custody to her child over a divorce because of the mold. When she asked the apartments to send her a copy of the papers so she can get her daughter back they flat out denied her request. My advice to one parent to another is DO NOT live in here. Your child(ren) will be in risk for DCF knocking on your door wanting to take your kids. So if you love your babies stay VERY VERY far away from here!!!!!!
