I moved in to this complex in 2005, and everything was ok. As this is an older apartment, I didn't expect more than an apartment that's in good working order in a nice area. It went well for a while, and had no unexpected problems - the occational hardware repair problems like the laundry room washer/dryer fix or quick repair in the kitchen (garbage disposal, fridgerator fix-up), etc. was all I had to think about. That grounds are nice for this area - kept away from any roads by forest, a nice lake, and neighborhoods all around the property.
Unfortunately, the management seems to be looking for an easier payment plan for themselves without regard for the community tenants. They have replaced the laundry units with the same setup as before, with the same amount of problems as before - several units have problems already, and they are repaired less-frequently as the older units before. They have made it required to refill laundry cards during their business hours, no exceptions, for the safety of their money (card refills are locked in their office - hopefully your working hours don't entrude with theirs). Since they lock up before their shift ends at the office - earlier than 5:45pm is close enough to 6pm, I guess - you have to pound on the doors to get the office's attention, and they'll complain that the office is closed, you should have been here earlier. Rental hikes are high and frequent, but I have never seen any additional improvements to the community. As of last month, all utilities except for power are now decided by management, based on your apartment type - not your usage. Utility bills have jumped 60% higher since management took over, which tells me that I'm now paying for the hand-full of tenants who have more than 2-3 people living in their apartment. Rather than check our meters any more, it's easier to add everyone's use together and divide by the type of apartment you live in.
Nice grounds, ok apartments, so-so amenities. Unfortunately, recent management policy is simply to get as much money out of it as they can.

Sound like when we lived there. We did get stuck with a bill at the end that we did not expect. When we moved out we were told me owed them two hundred something more dollars. We was shocked. Then we only got a small ( should have keep the little check) from our security deposit. I would also STAY AWAY. THEY NEED NEW MANAGEMENT
