Some like it...Some don't

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2009
I think some of these reviews are overly critical while others are overly complimentary. Neither of which really offer any truly helpful advice to those thinking of moving here.
The straight fact is that different people have different experiences here based on their expectations.
My family and I moved here in October of 2005. In the almost 4 years since then we have had our share of problems. Some were fixed almost immediately while others took longer than we felt was reasonable. The fact is that some problems can afford to wait while others cannot. Simply because the staff and/or maintenance cannot get it resolved when we want it does not mean they are not attentive to the problem.
Here are a couple of examples regarding the maintenance staff:
1 - There was a leak in our bathroom from the apartment above us which damaged our ceiling. The leak was fixed very promptly but the hole in the ceiling was not fixed for almost a month. They simply covered it with a piece of cardboard. At first that sounds kind of messed up. Well the reason they did this was to make sure the leak was indeed fixed before spending time and money patching the drywall only to find it was still leaking. So that was a smart move in my opinion. They verified the problem was resolved.
2 - Our ice maker stopped working. They replaced the ice maker once but when that did not work they special ordered a brand new refrigerator for us. Very nice.
These are just a couple of things that have happened but you get the idea.
Now the office staff does at times seem to leave a bit to be desired. They sometimes do not have the information that you would think they would which can be frustrating. And in 4 years they have lost our rent payment 3 times and then tried to make me pay the stop payment fee to my bank to stop the check. I found that to be infuriating. But after speaking with them about it they agreed to very reasonable terms that resolve the issue and all was well.
But the bottom line is this. They are not doing anything any different than anyone else in regards to taking care of their residents. They do the best they can while still trying to make some money for themselves. They may not do as good a job as someone else but that goes with the territory. The question is going to be whether or not their best will be good enough for you.
EDIT: As a side note I wanted to let everyone know that since the new management took over our rent has not been increased at all.
